PAMP Diwali Lakshmi Gold Bars: Designs, Sizes, and Where to Buy

If you are looking for a Lakshmi gold bar in the US, you are probably looking for the PAMP Diwali gold bar: .9999 fine gold from PAMP Suisse, the Swiss refiner, with the goddess Lakshmi struck on the face and the bar sealed in a festival-printed assay card. The design changes every year. The 2026 bar pairs Lakshmi with the sacred cow, and the 2025 bar set her inside rangoli art. PAMP's Diwali bar, and why Lakshmi is on it

Diwali runs five days, and Dhanteras is the first. The main night comes two days later. Buying gold or silver on Dhanteras is one of the day's central traditions, according to Britannica's account of the festival. Rangoli goes down at the door to invite Lakshmi in, and she is invoked again at Lakshmi Puja, on the eve of Diwali itself.

So a Lakshmi bar is about as literal a fit for the custom as you can buy. The 2026 dates: Dhanteras on Friday, November 6, and Lakshmi Puja two days later, Sunday the 8th. Our guide to what to buy on Dhanteras has more on the day.

Search results mix "Lakshmi" and "Laxmi" because both spellings are in use, and PAMP's page for one of its earlier Diwali bars calls her Gaj Laxmi. A laxmi gold bar and a Lakshmi gold bar from PAMP are the same product.

A new Lakshmi design each year

PAMP's own page for the 2024 bar calls it the third in an annual Diwali series. Every year has Lakshmi. What changes is the art on the card around her, which is handy, because that is how you tell one year from another at a glance.

Lakshmi & the Sacred Cow (2026)

Lakshmi sits on her lotus. Beside her are Kamadhenu, the sacred cow, and a lit diya. PAMP's page for the 5 gram version calls the palette magenta and saffron gold, and says every bar is individually serialized and comes with a matching gift sleeve. The 1 oz card is laid out differently: a cow on each side of the bar, diyas and a lotus underneath.

Lakshmi & Rangoli (2025)

The bar puts a garland of marigolds and hibiscus around Lakshmi, and the card and sleeve carry rangoli, the colored floor patterns drawn for the festival. PAMP made this one in a full ounce as well as 5 grams, and the Diwali Multigram of 25 one-gram bars carries rangoli art too.

Earlier Lakshmi bars

The 2023 bar was, in PAMP's words, a new design, and it shipped in a card with a presentation envelope. There is also an undated Diwali Lakshmi bar (the page that names her Gaj Laxmi) with lotus flowers on its card and envelope. Gift sleeves only start with the peacock year.

Four sizes on Pure, from 5 grams to 1 ounce

The 5 gram bar is small. PAMP lists it at 14 by 23.3 mm and 0.80 mm thick. Smaller than a postage stamp. Hold one and you are mostly holding the card. The gold inside comes to about 0.16 troy ounces. Pure has both the 5 gram Diwali bar and the 10 gram, sealed. Neither title says more than "Diwali," though, so the listing on its own will not tell you the year.

Ten grams is 0.32 troy ounces. Same card format, double the gold.

The 25 gram Multigram is the odd one out: 25 one-gram units in a single card, each individually registered and sealed. Five rows of five. Each unit is tiny, 6 by 9.5 mm. On Pure it goes by 25 Gram PAMP Suisse Diwali Lakshmi Multigram.

Then the 1 oz: a full troy ounce, or 31.1 grams, a bit heavier than the ounce your kitchen scale uses. The 2025 one measures 24 by 41 mm. There are two on Pure, the 1 oz Diwali Lakshmi and the 1 oz Diwali Sacred Cow.

What the CertiPAMP card tells you

CertiPAMP is PAMP's name for the sealed card. The front is the festival art. The back is the document.

On the 5 gram card pictured on our listing, the back reads Certificate Number, Metal Fineness (Au 999.9), Metal Weight, and the signature of PAMP's certified assayer, with "Swiss Made" printed down the side. PAMP states that the 2025 1 oz bars and the 2026 5 gram bars are individually serialized, with the serial on the card.

Leave it sealed. Opening the card separates the bar from the certificate that describes it, and an intact seal is what shows the bar inside is the one PAMP packed.

The card is PAMP's statement, and we check it anyway. We test every item ourselves before it ships, confirming the metal's exact composition, and only bars that pass are Pure Qualified.

How a Diwali bar is priced

Two parts. The gold: the bar's weight in troy ounces times the spot price of gold. And the premium, everything above that: minting, the printed card, the sleeve, the design, and the seller's margin.

Spot moves all day, so the gold part changes by the minute. Here is the arithmetic at a round $4,000 per ounce, picked because it is easy to check, not because it is where gold is today:

The premium is where the sizes really differ. Smaller bars cost more per ounce of gold, because the cost of striking and packaging a bar does not shrink in step with the gold, and that cost lands on less metal. The Multigram adds 25 sets of seals and stamping. A festival design and a gift sleeve are part of what you pay for too.

Its metal value is the spot price of one ounce of gold at that moment, since the bar holds one troy ounce of .9999 gold. The asking price on any listing adds the seller's premium. On Pure, a bar's order book shows any bids buyers have posted for it right now.

Is there a Lakshmi gold coin available in the USA?

The PAMP Diwali pieces covered here are all bars. Round Lakshmi pieces are sold in the US too, often called coins, and the same checks apply to them: a fineness stamp, a stated weight, and a maker you can name. The smallest Lakshmi units Pure lists are the one-gram pieces in the 25 gram Multigram, which comes as a single card.

Is a 24 karat bar the same gold as Diwali jewelry?

No. PAMP Diwali bars are .9999 fine, which is 24 karat. Jewelry bought for Diwali is commonly 22 karat, 91.7% gold with other metals added to help it hold its shape when worn. A bar is priced on its gold plus a premium; jewelry also carries the cost of the work.

Buying a Diwali Lakshmi bar in the US

On Pure, each bar has its own order book. Sellers post asks, buyers post bids, and you can see all of them. Take an existing ask and the bar is yours at that price. Or post a bid at your own number, and it stays on the book until a seller fills it or you cancel it.
