Description
The 2024 tenth-ounce Krugerrand carries 3.110 grams of gold in a 3.393-gram coin of 22-karat gold, 91.67% gold and 8.33% copper, 16.55 millimeters across and 1.35 thick, with no nominal face value. Paul Kruger is on the obverse, from Otto Schultz's design, and the reverse is the pronking springbok Coert Steynberg designed in 1947. The Krugerrand first appeared in 1967, and the tenth-ounce size was added in 1980. Rand Refinery and the South African Mint produce it. Every coin is tested by us before it ships.
