Mexico's gold 5 pesos carries 0.1205 troy ounce of pure gold in 4.1666 grams of .900 fine gold, on a coin 19 millimeters across; the listing does not specify the year. Albino del Moral's portrait of Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla faces left on one side, with CINCO PESOS, a star and the date. The other side shows the national arms under ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS, and the edge is lettered INDEPENDENCIA Y LIBERTAD. The Mexico City mint struck it in 1905 to 1907, 1910, 1918 to 1920 and 1955, then restruck it under the 1955 date. Tested by us before it goes out.
