Description
Two troy ounces of .999 fine gold in a poured Engelhard loaf, about 62 grams. A loaf is the shape a poured bar takes when gold is cast into an open mold: a rounded top, softer edges, and a surface that keeps the texture of the pour, so no two are the same. The bar carries the Engelhard name with the weight and fineness.
Engelhard was founded in Newark, New Jersey, in 1902 and acquired by BASF in 2006; its bars are no longer made. An older loaf may show handling marks, and every one is tested here before it ships.
