Description
The 1991 (MCMXCI) 1 oz American Gold Eagle, certified by the Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), is a notable collector's piece from the esteemed American Gold Eagle series minted by the United States Mint. This coin, composed of .9167 fine gold (22 karat), showcases the iconic design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens on the obverse, featuring Lady Liberty with a torch and olive branch, set against a backdrop of the Capitol. The reverse, created by Miley Busiek, depicts a male eagle carrying an olive branch to a nest with a female eagle and eaglets, embodying the American spirit of family and freedom. The PCGS certification confirms the coin's authenticity and assesses its condition, enhancing its appeal to collectors and investors who value the combination of artistic merit, historical significance, and verified quality. As part of the American Gold Eagle series, the 1991 edition, with its PCGS certification, is especially valued for its investment potential and as a cherished piece of American numismatic art.
