In recognition of the 2026 Semiquincentennial marking 250 years of the United States, the U.S. Mint is issuing five new quarters celebrating the nation’s history, including the second release in the series—the Revolutionary War quarter—honoring the resilience and determination to overcome the trials of war in pursuit of liberty. These 100-coin bags include circulating-quality coins struck at the Philadelphia Mint, offering collectors an early opportunity to own part of this one-year-only commemorative program featuring special designs across most circulating denominations. The obverse of the 2026 Revolutionary War quarter features George Washington, the nation’s first President and Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army, along with the inscriptions “E PLURIBUS UNUM,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” and “1776 ~ 2026.” The reverse depicts a Continental Army soldier at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, symbolizing perseverance through hardship following defeats such as the Battle of Brandywine and the brutal winter encampment of 1777–1778, with inscriptions “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “LIBERTY,” “25,” and “REVOLUTIONARY WAR.”
