Description
The 2026 1 oz Australian Silver Kangaroo $1 Coin is struck in .9999 fine silver by the Perth Mint, with a diameter of 40.6mm. The reverse, designed by Stuart Devlin, sets the kangaroo inside a radiating border and changes pose every year. The obverse, designed by Dan Thorne, carries the King Charles III effigy now used on current Perth Mint issues, along with the coin's $1 AUD legal tender face value. A micro-engraved security letter, visible only under magnification, is built into the design to deter counterfeiting. Perth Mint launched the Kangaroo as an annual bullion series in 2016.
