Description
The Perth Mint's 2009 Year of the Ox in gold, from Lunar Series II: half a troy ounce of .9999 fine gold with a face value of A$50. The design shows an ox lying on grass with bamboo above it, with the Chinese character for ox and the Mint's P mintmark. Series I had covered 1996 to 2007. The Perth Mint opened in 1899 and is owned by the Government of Western Australia.
