Description
The Perth Mint's 2003 Year of the Goat in gold, from Lunar Series I: one troy ounce of .9999 fine gold with a face value of A$100. The coin is 31.11 grams, 32.1 millimeters across and 2.8 thick, with a reeded edge. Travis Farley's design shows a goat walking through grass. As on the rest of Series I, a beaded border frames the Chinese character for the animal, the date, and the weight and purity. The obverse is Queen Elizabeth II, in Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait, with the face value.
