Description
The Perth Mint's 2002 Year of the Horse in gold, from Lunar Series I: a tenth of a troy ounce of .9999 fine gold with a face value of A$15. The coin is 3.11 grams, 16.1 millimeters across and 1.5 thick. The 2002 reverse shows the horse. As on the rest of Series I, a beaded border frames the Chinese character for the animal, the date, and the weight and purity. The obverse is Queen Elizabeth II, in Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait, with the face value.
