From Lunar Series I, The Perth Mint's 2001 Year of the Snake: a quarter troy ounce of .9999 fine gold, A$25 face value. The coin is 7.78 grams, 20.1 millimeters across and 2 thick. The snake for 2001 is on the reverse. Series I reverses carry the Chinese character for the animal, the year, and the weight and purity inside a beaded border. On the other side is Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the face value.
