Description
From Lunar Series I, The Perth Mint's 1997 Year of the Ox: a tenth of a troy ounce of .9999 fine gold, A$15 face value. The coin is 3.11 grams, 16.1 millimeters across and 1.5 thick. Jovan Radanovich's design shows an ox standing in a grassy field, turning its head to look back over its shoulder. Series I reverses carry the Chinese character for the animal, the year, and the weight and purity inside a beaded border. On the other side is Raphael Maklouf's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II and the face value.
