Description
A hundred troy ounces of .999 fine silver in a struck Engelhard bar, pressed rather than poured, so the faces are flat and the edges clean. This variety carries a CSRCO stamp alongside the Engelhard hallmark, weight, and fineness, an extra mark added to the bar that collectors catalogue as its own variety. Engelhard, founded in Newark in 1902, stopped making silver bars in the 1980s and was bought by BASF in 2006.
A hundred ounces is a little over three kilos. Expect handling marks on a bar this age.
