One troy ounce of .999 fine silver in the 1988 Olympic Games bar Johnson Matthey struck for VISA, the Games' sponsor, with the weight and fineness. The bars were made without serial numbers and originally issued in a presentation box. Johnson Matthey ran refineries in Salt Lake City and outside Toronto, which is where its North American bars came from. Johnson Matthey, the London refiner founded in 1817, made bars for 162 years and sold its gold and silver refining business to Asahi in 2015. Most of these have left their boxes by now, so expect light handling marks, and a test before it ships.
