The US Mint has issued Enhanced Uncirculated American Eagles before, but the 2026 versions are different: a one-year-only design tied to the country's 250th anniversary, with a dual "1776 ~ 2026" date and a Liberty Bell privy mark carrying the numeral 250. Both the gold and silver versions carry it, struck at West Point with the W mint mark.
The Enhanced Uncirculated finish sits between a standard bullion strike and a mirror-polished Proof: the field stays matte while the raised design elements get a laser-frosted texture, so the contrast reads differently than either. The gold coin (26EH) is 1 troy ounce of .9167 fine gold; the silver coin (26EG) is 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver.
