Description
One troy ounce of .9999 fine gold in a Credit Suisse bar, made for the bank by Valcambi in Switzerland. The bar is about 42 by 24 millimeters and 1.71 thick. The front carries the framed CREDIT SUISSE logo above 1 oz FINE GOLD 999,9, the Essayeur Fondeur hallmark, and a serial number; the back repeats the logo with ONE OUNCE FINE GOLD 999,9. The comma in 999,9 is the Swiss way of writing the decimal.
The card it is sealed in depends on when the bar was made; Credit Suisse used several over the years. Production ended after UBS absorbed Credit Suisse in 2023, so these are no longer being struck.
